๐Ÿ”˜The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) is planning to merge its existing database of DG (Systems) with that of the Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) to expand its coverage of taxpayer activities and curb tax evasion.

๐Ÿ”˜At present, the GST portal acts as the โ€˜Front Endโ€™ while DG systems act as the โ€˜๐๐š๐œ๐ค ๐„๐ง๐,โ€™ handling tax administration functions such as refunds and investigations.

๐Ÿ”˜This integration will enable the compilation of data into one system, ensuring that the data reported in both portals remains the same and consistent.

๐Ÿ”˜Integrating both portals will allow a seamless flow of taxpayer data and ensure transparency in cross-border transactions.
