We recently applied for ๐๐๐ ๐ซ๐๐ ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง for two clients โ one based in ๐ฒ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ and the other in ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐.\
To our surprise, ๐๐๐ ๐ฒ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐-๐๐๐๐๐

The ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ has issued an ๐๐๐ฏ๐ข๐ฌ๐จ๐ซ๐ฒ stating that GST registration may be granted ๐๐๐๐๐๐ 3 ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐
๐๐๐, provided the application satisfies the following parameters:
1. The application is not flagged as โriskyโ by the department.
2. The expected monthly outward tax liability is up to โน2,50,000.
3. The applicant has opted for Aadhaar Authentication during the Registration process.
4. There is no other GST registration under the same PAN in the same State.
If your application meets all the above criteria, the registration is generally expected to be processed within 3 working days, subject to departmental discretion.
This is a welcome move by the Government to expedite the GST registration process. Earlier, obtaining GST registration often took up to 1โ1.5 months, with multiple queries being raised and replies submitted.
